Purrfect Deals is operated by EpsilonPi Limited, a company registered in New Zealand. We build tools that help cat owners find the best prices on pet products across multiple online retailers.

When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means EpsilonPi Limited. When it refers to "you", it means any person who downloads or uses the Purrfect Deals mobile application.

📋 2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features.

2.1 — Account information (optional)

Creating an account is entirely optional. You can browse all products without signing in. If you choose to sign up, we collect:

• Your display name (you can use any name you like)
• Your email address
• A password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your actual password)

2.2 — App activity data

When you use the app while signed in, we store:

• Saved favourites — products you save with the heart button
• Price alerts — products you set an alert for, and the price at the time the alert was created

2.3 — Device and usage data

We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or browsing history. Standard anonymised crash logs may be collected by Expo (our app framework) to help us fix bugs.

We collect data solely to provide and improve the app experience:

• Account authentication — so you can log in securely across devices
• Favourites sync — so your saved products are always there when you return
• Price drop alerts — to compare a product's current price against the price when you set the alert, and notify you if it falls
• Push notifications — to deliver price drop alerts to your device

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or behavioural tracking.

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the app:

Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore)

Firebase handles secure user authentication and stores your favourites and price alerts in an encrypted cloud database. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and complies with GDPR and international privacy standards.

💰 5. Affiliate Links

Purrfect Deals participates in affiliate programmes. When you tap "Buy Now" and make a purchase on a retailer's website, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is always identical whether you arrive via our app or visit the retailer directly.

Affiliate programmes we participate in include:

• Amazon Associates — Amazon.com affiliate programme
• AliExpress Portals — AliExpress affiliate programme

These commissions help fund the ongoing development of the app and keep it free for all users.

🔒 6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard protections:

• All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — Firebase uses secure, industry-standard hashing
• Our Firestore database is protected by Firebase Security Rules — users can only access their own data
• We follow the principle of data minimisation — we only collect what is strictly necessary

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active:

• Account data (email, display name) — retained until you delete your account
• Favourites and price alerts — retained until you remove them in-app or delete your account
• Anonymised crash logs — retained for up to 90 days by Expo

When you delete your account, all personal data associated with it is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to correction — update your display name or email in the app's Profile screen at any time
• Right to deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
• Right to portability — request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to specific processing of your data

You have the right to permanently delete your Purrfect Deals account and all associated data at any time. Deletion removes:

• Your email address and display name
• All saved favourites
• All active price alerts
• Your authentication credentials

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You are welcome to create a new account at any time.

👶 10. Children's Privacy

Purrfect Deals is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The app is intended for use by adults and older teenagers who shop independently.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time as our app evolves. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify signed-in users via the app where required by applicable law
